King Cumulus Cloudfellow (they like big names) is the clan chieftain of the Cloudsmen, or Cloudyfolk (or Cloudsfolk). He lives and rules over a proud but elusive, magical folk and family - his little kingdom - up in the clouds, along with Queen Cumula Cloudlady, in the grand but shifting Cloud-Castle Cumulus.
They are a big, noisy, active bunch who are easily angered but have big hearts and secretly all depend on each other.
They are modelled on Scottish Highlanders so wear their clan logo and warm attire in some form or fashion. It's very breezy up there. They carry their cloud canes for controlling and riding upon the clouds. Their Cloud-animals help in this vital activity, which might include horses and trusted dogs.
There is a Storm Broth (brewed by Chef Cumulo) which they are always drinking to keep warm.
If it gets too hot, they become lethargic and uninspired. Storms (to an extent) are needed to shake things up. Life is a balance after all and the trick is to keep flowing and not get too bogged down.
Also, many of their items within their sky domain are fashioned by the dreams of the 'way-belowers' (that's us). If people stop dreaming and looking up at the clouds, then the Cloudsmen lose their spirited energy and can even disappear for a time. They can lose their cloud-animals too. So, it's important to keep people dreaming and imagining new things (in harmony with their environment).
The sky is changing. Clouds are thinning or becoming less abundant. Chief Cumulus must unite the Cloud Clans and put away long-held differences if they are to survive.
What's to be done about the loss of their precious clouds? A possible plan is to break with tradition and make contact with the 'earthy-folk' (the way-below-ers) who live 'way down there' scattered across the surface, since they have been taking too much from the Earth's diversity. Perhaps their younger ones can be reached, brought up and shown the wonders of what clouds are, and what they mean to the planet?
Laced with some Scottish highland references and language, the Cloudsmen are a vital part of the planet's system, watching over the clouds, punting between them and herding them with special cloud canes.
Welcome to Castle Cumulus and their special, fragile kingdom in the clouds.

This collection (minted on Ethereum via Rarible and manifesting throughout 2022) by Ade's Press is just one initial visualisation of a shepherding clan in the clouds.
The artwork is CC0 in the public domain, but the NFTs are tickets into the potential future of these original Cloudsmen concepts.
Royalties will initially be set at 2% and go to Ade's Press, but can be adjusted as and if a community of holders empower the project beyond the Origin stage.
Buying/holding the NFT doesn't therefore guarantee any value, as with many investments. It is the buyer who sees value in the project (as it exists then) and may then enhance it or participate in its future to whatever degree. However, an NFT will allow access to core community websites and community-aligned objectives which can include token airdrops, special edition artwork, early access, contributions to stories etc....
