⚖️Core Values

An outline for some of the Core Values and Ideas which The Cloudsmen represent. These may be altered or updated by a community at a later date.

• The Cloudsmen represent family values, and also how each must respect one another and work together to protect their environment and look beyond their territory for a common cause. They have a tendency for independence but always unite around a big storm or celebration.

• The Cloudsmen are not very practical. They are instinctive and also dreamy. The theme of Creativity or the power of creation are very important while trying to learn to be more practical. This can relate to harmony with the environment, growing cloud-food, domestication etc.. Sometimes things get too complex, so there are reminders about being simple and free.

• Environment: the generation of clouds is vital to their survival and atmosphere. They are scared of change as all are deeply connected with/made out of clouds, eg. ceremonies etc which re-enforce this.

• Think of the present and future! Cloudsmen are like spirits or gods, unaware of what they are and because of this they never - or rarely- think about the past, only the present and future. Eg. They wouldn't know how old they are. 'There have always been clouds, like the mountain peaks we sometimes pop down and visit'.

• Unite the clans! There are accords and frictions between other clans and cultures, which are a way to introduce cultures to kids. The theme is how important it is to unite all peoples under a common cause: the creation, protection and maintenance of clouds (via a 'hands off' shepherding approach, or 'tread lightly', leaving little trace). Eg. diverse agriculture, sustainability, permaculture, growing and recycling... The clans must unite to produce more clouds and help share their values with the 'way- belowers' (?)

• Contact with kids of the planet. The 'way below' is another theme to explore, as their attitude is one of fear and remaining elusive. They are a bit like mountain folk. One way to manifest themselves might be to contact climbers of high mountain peaks, when their clouds descend, in order to bring a kid up to their kingdom to find out why the clouds 'are thinning'. (?) But then they would also show the kid the way back to his/her home (since people get lost easily on mountain tops, hills etc.)

• Repeated message? 'Look up to the Clouds once in a while… for there are always Ideas and silent music playing....and you might just see a Cloudsmen....'

• Keep people dreaming! Every time a kid looks up and sees something in the clouds, then it appears in their sky domain! The clouds keep people becoming too dark, or too practical.

• Dark things have been appearing in the sky domain. Here be dragons! The Cloudsmen must try and increase positive energy....
